A coin and what really matters

A coin. I found some pictures of me holding a coin from the time I was working in Switzerland... After a week of work, one of our guests, a very shy 12-year-old, came to us later on while we were finishing up everything after dinner and handed a 5CHF coin, saying, 'For you! Thank you for this week, this is all I have to give to you,' and then left.

Maybe it was that period for me, maybe I was just in a sensitive phase that week; the gesture brought tears to my eyes. 🥹 It was the most genuine, heartfelt, humble, and honest action or tip anyone could give. Even if it wasn't a large amount, it was sincerely all he had to show appreciation.

I often think about that day, mostly because it reminds me of what really matters. No matter if it's time, affection, or patience... Sometimes what we have to offer isn't much, doesn't feel like much, or we feel the urge to wait for the 'right amount,' to have more, to give more. Then we wait, wait, wait... but for what? for how long? what about tomorrow?

You know what?! Don't save it, just do it. If it's genuine, do it.

You never know how much the other person needs; if it's sincere - trust me - it will always be more than enough.
